WESTWARD SHIPPING NEWS WINS AWARD

Award-winning Westward Shipping News is celebrating 2 years and a huge milestone for its maritime news website, created out of the UK Covid lockdowns. The crew at Westward are now focused in developing their news platform in 2025. Have you thought about supporting them?

This accolade is a great achievement in the year we celebrate 2 years since we launched Westward Shipping News, said Media Director and Blogger Kevin Kelway.

“We were informed the judges were supremely impressed by the quality of the website, branding, testimonials, core values, news features, videos, images, PR exposure, and our popular live webcam service.”

Ian Fleming, Sales Coordinator, said: “This is our second national award for Westward Shipping News, and proud indeed, and looking to develop Westward services in 2025,” he said.

Westward Shipping News was created during the UK’s two COVID lockdowns in the early 2020s, after recording all commercial and naval shipping movements on social media that generated UK and international interest in the Sound.

“We needed something to keep up our spirits at the time, and like many other people shut up indoors, we wanted to share the shipping movements along Plymouth’s beautiful waterfront, and we became a maritime community.”
