THE PLYMOUTH DOG ACADEMY – CELEBRATES OVER A YEAR IN BUSINESS
A Royal Navy Armed Forces veteran, Stuart Lawson, is celebrating over a year in business – and his successful canine enterprise, the Plymouth Dog Academy.
Stuart launched the ‘one-on-paws’ and online Academy, to help dog lovers get the best behaviours out of their young puppies and adult dogs of all ages, he says.
Mr Lawson, said: “With over two thousand dog behaviour cases behind me, and covering all conceivable aspects of dog behaviour problems, our role at the Plymouth Dog Academy is to help resolve any issues you are experiencing with your dog, and restore a sense of calm in your relationship and household.”
“With over 30 years of experience training my own dogs in completing courses, attending seminars, studying dogs, what I’ve learned is a happy dog, is a happy you,” he said.
“We are a team of three specialists covering all aspects of dog behaviour problems, and a wide range of dog breeds. We look at addressing situations in and out of the home, with an initial FREE consultation visit, or an online analysis.”
“We also get international clients as far away as New Zealand giving practical advice and support,” said Stuart.
Ruby Millar, now a full-time qualified dog trainer, said: “I started as an apprentice with the Plymouth Dog Academy and gained the necessary qualifications and experience in dealing with the many cases we see from aggressive dogs, predatory chasing, loud barking, and dealing with various fears and separation anxieties, puppy training, phobias, recall problems, and safety with children and dogs,” she said.
Kayley Carkett, is the new apprentice and is learning and working for all the necessary qualifications to become a full-time dog trainer at the Plymouth Dog Academy.
Kayley, said: “I’m really excited in working with Stuart and Ruby, and finding my vocation in the world of Dogverity,” she said.
Stuart, added: “We have a 98% pass rate that is delivered over an eight-week period in 4 one-hour sessions,” he said.
