TALE ABOUT 130 SPANISH SHIPS, AND THE YEAR 1588

A play about an iconic moment in English history that transported the actors and audience back to ‘1588’ and the Spanish Armada.

THE CAST OF 1588

The work by award-winning playwright Chris Savery was performed by 11 actors at ‘The House Theatre’ last night and at the University of Plymouth’s £7 million performing arts centre on North Hill.

Media Director, Kevin Kelway said: “I’ll cherish the moment because I played Philip II and Sebastian Thorlington (not in the cast picture) Public Relations always comes first.

The play was well attended, and some members of the audience stayed for the feed-back debate at the end for over 40 minutes to discuss with Chris Savery and the cast the aesthetics and style, ask questions, and give views about the performance, especially how community theatre in Plymouth can grow.
